How we publish

    If a dataset can be released under the Sunshine Law, it gets published here rather than waiting for someone to request it.

  • Machine-readable, always

    CSV and JSON at minimum, GeoJSON for anything with geography. No data trapped inside a PDF.

  • Documented

    Every dataset ships a data dictionary explaining each column, its units, and its known limitations.

  • Privacy reviewed

    Records are reviewed and aggregated or redacted before release so that individuals cannot be re-identified.

  • Free to reuse

    Published under an open license. Build a business on it, write a story with it, check our work with it.

For developers

Each dataset exposes a stable REST endpoint with filtering, pagination and a documented schema. Rate limits are generous and there is no key required for read access.
